Moderna to supply additional 56.5 million corona vaccines to GAVI

The US bio-pharmacy company Moderna announced on the 29th that it has agreed to supply an additional 56.5 million doses of the new coronavirus vaccine to the GAVI Vaccine Alliance, an international organization that supports the spread of vaccines in developing countries. It will be implemented in the second quarter of next year.

The company has already signed a contract to supply GAVI with 60 million doses in the second quarter of next year.

According to Moderna, GAVI will continue to have the option to raise an additional 233 million rounds in 2022, with a total of 500 million rounds procured from 2009 to 2010.
