Girl assaulted by ‘man with no teeth’ in city bus shelter


A 16-year-old girl was inappropriately touched by a man while waiting for a bus in Leicester on Christmas Eve.

Leicestershire Police today appealed to the public for any information regarding the incident, which happened around 6.30am in Abbey Lane.

The teenager has described the man as having no teeth, and as well as touching her, claims he kissed her before leaving the scene on foot.

Officers have not given the exact location of the incident, but said the victim was sitting in a bus shelter “close to a supermarket” when the assault happened.

Detective Constable Matthew Harrison is investigating the incident.

He said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious or may know the man involved.

“Please cast your mind back to Christmas Eve. Were you in the area? Did you see what happened? Do you have dashcam footage that may have captured this incident?

“If you can help in any way, I would like to speak to you.”
